Engineered Semi Solid wooden flooring are manufactured with ply wooden construction. This means these floors are more stable than solid flooring and therefore can be  installed on a underlay were the solid flooring is typically nailed.

Oak is the most popular colour in the semi solid flooring colours other colours include walnut, ash, maple, and birch. A engineered floor has several layers of wood through out its structure. In general it has all the same features as solid flooring and is fitted in the same way as a solid floor. The main difference is that an engineere floor is almost always more stable than a solid floor. It will move less than a solid floor under the same enviromental conditions. This makes engineered floors beeter suited to under floor heating systems and enviroments that may be more extreme, i.e high in moisture  content
